Utah - Prelude
In 2020, our motorcycle trip to Nova Scotia and the Maritime Provinces of Canada was frustrated by the pandemic, which is the reason for the circle trip around Lake Michigan.
In 2021, we still cannot access Canada, so we elected to head west to Utah. There is so much to see in Utah and we only have one week. Accordingly, Francois is flying to Salt Lake and renting a Harley, while Magellan and Buttercup will drive to Salt Lake from Tennessee and Mississippi.
Our travels will take us east to Colorado and Dinosaur National Park. We then head south to the National Parks.
We'll spend a day on an ATV in the high desert, and then we're off to the Uinta Mountains before heading back to Salt Lake and the travels home.
Our trip will be through the desert where the temperatures will excess 100 degrees, and into the mountains, where the temperatures will dip into the forties. With rain gear, we need to be prepared for most climate conditions - which means a lot of gear: all of which needs to fit on the motorcycle.
